An interactive counselling session was organised for parents of 1st , 3rd and 5th sem degree students by Jeevani counsellor Ms Sreelakshmi Gangadharan under the aegis of the 'Jeevani' Centre for Student Wellbeing, on 20.08.2026 at 3.45 PM at C H Auditorium of college to bridge the communication gap between parents, students, and the institution. The primary objective of the session was to raise awareness about the emotional, psychological, and academic challenges faced by higher education students and to equip parents with strategies to support their children effectively. Ms. Sreelakshmi Gangadharan emphasized the importance of active listening, empathetic communication, and avoiding excessive comparison with peers. The counsellor outlined the services available at the college's Jeevani Centre, encouraging parents to utilize these resources whenever necessary to support their ward's mental health and personal growth. The session concluded on a positive note, with parents expressing gratitude for the timely initiative and recommending more such interaction programs in the future.
