NAMMALIDAM 2K25  Day 5, Session 24 Health Survey

  • 27 Dec / 2025

As a continuation of the Awareness Class on Tuberculosis (TB) held on 27 December 2025 at 2:00 PM, In Patterkulam Ward 43, a TB Survey was also conducted to assess the level of awareness and to identify possible symptoms among the community.

After the awareness session led by Dr. Fabitha, Senior Treatment Supervisor, District TB Center, Cherani, the volunteers actively participated in conducting the TB survey. The survey aimed to collect basic information related to TB symptoms, health conditions, living environment, and awareness about TB prevention and treatment.

During the survey, participants were informed about the importance of early detection and were encouraged to seek medical consultation if they experienced symptoms such as prolonged cough, fever, weight loss, or fatigue. The volunteers explained the availability of free diagnosis and treatment facilities provided by the government, ensuring that people felt comfortable and confident to approach health centers when needed.

The TB survey was conducted in a systematic and friendly manner, creating awareness while also building trust among the people. It helped in understanding the ground-level awareness about tuberculosis and contributed to strengthening public health outreach.

Overall, the combined programme of TB awareness, quiz competition, and TB survey was highly effective. It played a significant role in educating the community, promoting early diagnosis, and supporting the mission of eliminating tuberculosis through awareness and responsible health practices.
