NAMMALIDAM 2K25 Day 5, Session 23 TB Shield

An awareness class on Tuberculosis (TB) followed by a quiz competition was conducted on 27 December 2025 at 2:00 PM with the aim of educating participants about TB and promoting health awareness.
The session was led by Dr. Fabitha, Senior Treatment Supervisor, District TB Center, Cherani. She delivered an informative and engaging talk on tuberculosis, covering important aspects such as the causes of TB, modes of transmission, common symptoms, prevention methods, and the importance of early diagnosis and complete treatment. Dr. Fabitha also highlighted the role of government health services and the availability of free TB treatment under national health programs.
Following the awareness class, a quiz competition was organized to reinforce the knowledge gained during the session. The quiz created active participation among the students and helped assess their understanding of TB-related topics in an interesting and interactive manner. Participants showed great enthusiasm, and the competition made the learning process enjoyable.
The programme was highly informative and effective in spreading awareness about tuberculosis. It helped participants understand the seriousness of the disease and the importance of timely medical care, thereby contributing to the goal of building a healthy and informed society.
