NAMMALIDAM 2K25 Day 4, Session 14 One Student One Plant
As part of the NSS camp activities, a Vegetable Garden Making programme titled “One Student One Plant” was successfully conducted on 26 December 2025 at 8:30 AM. The programme aimed to promote environmental awareness, self-sustainability, and the importance of organic farming among students.
Under this initiative, NSS volunteers actively participated in planting 140 vegetable seedlings. The vegetables planted included Brinjal, Tomato, Ladies Finger, and Pea. Each student took responsibility for planting and nurturing at least one sapling, emphasizing the concept of individual responsibility towards nature.
The activity encouraged teamwork, hands-on learning, and awareness about healthy food habits. Students prepared the soil, planted the seedlings carefully, and ensured proper spacing and watering. The programme helped instill values of patience, care, and environmental consciousness among the volunteers.
Overall, the “One Student One Plant” programme was meaningful and impactful, contributing to a greener environment and strengthening the bond between students and nature.
