A Self-Defense Shield Against Violence
Self-defense training was held at KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri as part of the programme "A Self-Defense Shield Against Violence" conducted by the Social Policing Division of Kerala Police. The programme was organized by the Malappuram District Police Division and the NSS units of the college. The programme, held at the college's C. H. Auditorium and was inaugurated by Malappuram District Additional Superintendent of Police and Nodal Officer V.A. Krishnadas. College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur presided over the function. Mrs. K. Vatsala, Mrs. V. J. Sonia Mable and Mrs. K. C. Sinimol collaborated as WSDT (Women Self Defence Team) Master Trainers in the programme. The programme included video presentations and self defense live demonstration. Engr. O. Abdul Ali (College Manager), Dr. Haris U. (Programme Officer, NSS Unit 008), Dr. Faseela P. (Programme Officer, NSS Unit 171), Malappuram Sub-Inspector Mr. Anil Kumar and Manjeri Sub-inspector Mrs. Aswathy were present.
