Inauguration of 'Punarjani' NSS 7-days Residential Camp

The seven-day residential camp, 'Punarjani,' organized by NSS Units 008 and 171 of KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri, commenced with great enthusiasm on December 20, 2024, at GUP School, Veembur. The first day began with the traditional flagging-off ceremony and a vibrant Vilambarajada, symbolizing the formal commencement of the camp. The inaugural session was marked by an atmosphere of warmth, camaraderie, and anticipation.  
The official inauguration event opened with a welcome address by the NSS Program Officer, Mr. Haris U, setting the tone for the occasion. Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, Principal of KAHM Unity Women’s College, extended his support and motivation through a thought-provoking speech. The camp was officially inaugurated by MLA Adv. U.A. Latheef, who inspired the attendees with his words. The keynote speech was delivered by Mrs. Elsy, Chairperson of the Social Welfare Standing Committee and 46th Ward Councillor of Veembur, emphasizing the importance of community service and volunteerism.  
Dr. Faseela P, Program Officer, provided a comprehensive overview of the camp’s objectives and detailed the schedule of activities planned for the week. The inaugural ceremony was enriched by the presence of esteemed guests, including Pookkottoor Panchayath Member Mr. Navas KP, Unity Women’s College Manager Jnb. O Abdul Ali, GUPS Veembur Head Master Mr. Ismail Poothanari, SMC Chairperson Ms. T Asmabi, Social Promoter Sonu Veemboor, and NTS Staff Club Secretary of Unity Women’s College, Mr. Adam Thanari. NSS Secretaries Ms. Fathima Rasha K, Ms. Sadhiya Sherin MT, and Ms. Hana Fathima also actively contributed to the success of the event. The inaugural session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Fathima Hashim, NSS Secretary, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries and participants.  
Following the inaugural ceremony, the volunteers participated in an engaging Ice-Breaking and Group Dynamics session led by Mr. Muhammed Shafi T, an experienced trainer and NSS State Award Winner. The session aimed to foster team spirit and camaraderie among the participants. Through interactive activities and insightful discussions, Mr. Shafi helped the volunteers get to know each other better and laid the foundation for effective teamwork. The session was highly energetic and well-received, setting a positive tone for the upcoming days of the camp.  
The first day of the 'Punarjani' camp concluded on a high note, leaving the volunteers inspired and eager to embark on a meaningful journey of learning and service.
