The PTA meeting for the First-year B.Com Co-operation students was conducted on 9th February 2024, at 2:00 PM in Room No. A305. The meeting aimed to improve the communication between parents and teachers. Meeting commenced with the speech of College Principal Dr. Muhammad Basheer Ummathur. He emphasized the commitment of the college to promote not only academic excellence, but also the holistic development of the students. Prof. T.T. Abdul Razak,HOD in his speech highlighted the active role of parents to perform in the academic journey of their child. Prof. Fathima Shajitha TK, Senior Faculty member of the department, spoke about the importance of regular attendance and punctuality in the success of students. Later, Dr. Febina K,the class tutor, explained the need for improving communication between parents and students for a better and a more serious learning to take place .The progress cards were distributed to review the performance of the students by the parents. Eventually, Parents were given opportunity to provide feedback on the teaching methods and general learning environment. Clarifications were also given to the questions raised by parents with regard to grading system and curriculum. The meeting concluded with an increased level of parental participation and awareness. A total of 43 parents participated in the meeting.
