NSS Precamp ‘Sparsham’
The NSS Precamp of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, was conducted on the college campus from 29th to 30th November 2024. The two-day program was meticulously planned to orient and prepare participants for the upcoming NSS residential camp. The camp began on the evening of 29th November with an inaugural session held in the auditorium. The event was inaugurated by Jb. O Abdul Ali, Manager of the institution, and included addresses by Prof. Dr. Muhammed Basheer Ummathur (Principal), Mr. Haris U (Programme Officer), Mr. Adam Thanari and other dignitaries, followed by a vote of thanks from Dr. Faseela P, Programme Officer.
The first day focused on interactive and motivational activities. After the formal inauguration, an ice-breaking session led by Mr. Noushadali PK, HOD of Arabic, fostered camaraderie among participants. This was followed by an insightful session titled "Standing with Life," conducted by Dr. V Hikmathulla, HOD of Malayalam, which encouraged participants to reflect on their roles as socially responsible citizens. The evening concluded with cultural programs, showcasing the creative talents of the students, creating an atmosphere of celebration and engagement.
Day two commenced at dawn with a fitness and trekking session on Unity Hill, guided by Mr. Hamraz Ahamed M, HOD of Physical Education. This invigorating activity emphasized teamwork and physical wellness. The post-breakfast session featured reflections and insights by the Principal, who inspired the participants with motivational thoughts. This was followed by a session on the preparation for the residential camp, where NSS secretaries Ms. Sadhiya Sherin MT and Ms. Hana Fathima provided guidance on effective planning and execution. The camp concluded with a feedback session, allowing participants to share their experiences and suggestions. The precamp proved to be a significant initiative in fostering leadership, collaboration, and a sense of purpose among the participants, setting a solid foundation for the upcoming residential camp.
