Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed by NCC Army Wing, KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri under 9 (K) Girls Battalion NCC, Calicut, on July 25, 2025. The aim of the program was to commemorate India's victory in the Kargil War and pay tribute to the martyrs. The objectives were to create awareness among cadets about the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and to instill patriotism and nationalism in them.
The program commenced with a welcome address by ANO Lt. Loosiya. KP, who highlighted the significance of the day. A lighting ceremony was conducted to remember and pay tribute to the war heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The ceremony was led by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, Associate NCC Officer, and cadets. The Principal delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of freedom and the day.
A movie screening of "LOC: Kargil" followed, which depicted the events of the Kargil War, showcasing the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian soldiers. The movie highlighted the challenges faced by the Indian Army during the war and their ultimate victory.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by UO Rushda. P (V Sem BSc Mathematics). A total of 70 cadets participated in the program, which was coordinated by ANO Lt. Loosiya. KP and UO Rushda. P. The outcome of the program was that it successfully instilled patriotism and nationalism among the cadets, and they gained a deeper understanding of the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
