Visarjan '25 NCC Closing Ceremony

The NCC Closing Ceremony for the year 2024-25 was held on March 25, 2025 in the Aryabhata Hall. The program comprised a farewell ceremony for passing-out third year cadets, an honoring ceremony for retiring staff, rank promotions for next-year's senior cadets, and an Iftar meet. 
The program commenced with a welcome speech by Lt. Loosiya K.P., Associate NCC Officer. She shared the NCC journey, activities, and special achievements of the cadets during 2024-25 along with her experience at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Gwalior.
The inaugural address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, who emphasized the importance of NCC in students' lives and the opportunities it provides. The retiring staff members honored during the ceremony were Dr. Annie Ninan, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Home Science; Mr. Rahib B., Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Senior GCI Suja from the 9 (K) Girls Battalion NCC, Calicut. Dr. Annie Ninan shared her inspiring journey as a teacher.
Dr. N.V. Fatimathu Zuhara, Assistant Professor, Department of Home Science, was honored for her tenure as the NCC Caretaker Officer from October to December 2024. She shared her experience in this role.
A ranking ceremony was conducted for the upcoming third-year senior cadets. L/CPL Rushda P (4th Semester BSc Mathematics) and CDT Shahana M.P. (4th Semester BSc FCS) were promoted to Under Officers. L/CPL Shahma C (4th Semester BA English) and CDT Nashida V.P. (4th Semester BCom Cooperation) were promoted to Sergeant ranks. 
TSC Cadet (2022) UO Shana Buhaisa P (BSc CS) was felicitated and shared her journey as a TSC Cadet. SUO Asna Sherin P (6th Semester BSc Mathematics) shared her experience as a cadet and Senior Under Officer in NCC, highlighting the positive changes it brought to her life. The vote of thanks was delivered by L/CPL Rushda P (4th Semester BSc Mathematics).
The official program concluded with the NCC Song, followed by the National Anthem. The event ended with a beautiful Iftar meet.
