The NCC Army Wing of KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism with the aim of commemorating the adoption of the Constitution of India and promoting national integration and unity among the cadets. The objective was to educate the cadets about the significance of Republic Day and to inspire them to become responsible citizens of India.
The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting by College Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur. ANO Lt. Loosiya. KP welcomed the gathering. The Principal delivered the Republic Day message to the NCC cadets, highlighting the importance of Republic Day, its history, and the theme.
The celebration also included a piping ceremony for rank-promoted cadets, which was conducted by the Principal and ANO. A vote of thanks was given by SUO Asna Sherin P (6th Sem BSc Maths).
And also cadets watched the live telecast of Republic Day celebrations in Delhi at the Multimedia Digital Studio.
This year’s Republic Day celebration was themed around 'Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas'. The celebrations showcased spectacular military and cultural pageantry, with ceremonious parades taking place at the Kartavya Path, paying tribute to India’s unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage.
The celebration successfully promoted patriotism and national pride among the cadets, concluding with the NCC Song and the National Anthem.
