Visit by the Commanding Officer, Col. Venkatesan. R
On 10 September 2024, the Commanding Officer, Col. Venkatesan. R, of 9 (K) Girls Battalion NCC, Calicut, visited KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri. The aim of the visit was to facilitate an interaction between the Commanding Officer and NCC cadets.
Lt. Loosiya. KP, Associate NCC Officer, welcomed the dignitaries and cadets. Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur delivered the presidential address, providing a detailed overview of the college and NCC activities, as well as the support provided by 9 (K) Girls BN NCC, Calicut.
Commanding Officer Col. Venkatesan R. shared his invaluable insights and interacted with the cadets, emphasizing the importance of leadership qualities, values of life, and the benefits of joining NCC in developing these qualities. Senior GCI, Keerthi, Sub/Maj Byju Kuriakose, and Naik Midhun also participated in the visit.
UO Asna Sherin. P (V Sem BSc Mathematics) delivered the vote of thanks. A total of 101 cadets participated in the event, which was expertly anchored by SGT Nadha (V Sem BSc CS). The Commanding Officer also took the opportunity to visit the NCC Room and Shihab Thangal Library. The visit was a resounding success.
