WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY – TREE PLANTATION AND CAMPUS CLEANING
The NCC unit of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri observed World Environment Day on June 5, 2024. The aim of the programme was to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection and promote sustainable practices among the college community. ANO Lt. Loosiya. KP delivered a welcome speech and explained the importance of planting trees. The College Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, emphasized the significance of World Environment Day, inspired the cadets to take action to protect the environment, and planted a badam tree near the college main gate. The cadets cleaned the college campus. A total of 20 cadets participated in the programme. The programme inspired the cadets to take small steps towards a more sustainable future. Lt. Loosiya KP, ANO (Assistant Professor Adhoc, PG Dept. of Home Science), and UO Asna Sherin (V Sem B.Sc Mathematics) were the faculty and student coordinators, respectively
