Kargil Vijay Diwas (Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav) was celebrated by NCC Army Wing, 9 (K) Girls Battalion NCC, Kozhikode, KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri, with the aim of commemorating India's victory in the Kargil War and paying tribute to the martyrs. The objectives of the programme were to create awareness among cadets about the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas, to inspire them to join the Indian Army, and to instill patriotism and nationalism in them.
A lighting ceremony was conducted to remember and pay tribute to the war heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The ceremony was led by the College Principal, Chief Guest, Associate NCC Officer, and cadets.
The programme commenced with a silent prayer, followed by a welcome address by ANO Lt. Loosiya. KP, who highlighted the significance of the day. College Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of freedom and the day.
The chief guest, Major Viswanathan. KP (Retd.), who participated in Kargil Operation and 1971 Indo-Pak war, inaugurated the session. He was a recipient of the prestigious Western Star Award for his active participation and the GOC-IN-C Commendation Card for his good service. He shared his experiences in Kargil Operation, the sacrifices of soldiers, and the victory. Major Viswanathan. KP (Retd.) was honored with a momento by the College Principal. An interactive session followed, where he explained the process of joining the Indian Army and the benefits of being an army officer.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by UO Asna Sherin (V Sem BSc Mathematics). 
Later, all cadets and ANO visited the War Memorial at Civil Station, Malappuram, maintained by Kerala State Ex-Services League Malappuram District Committee. They also visited the war memorial of Soldier Abdul Nazar (Martyr of Kargil War) in Civil Station. Total 62 cadets participated in the programme, which was coordinated by ANO Lt. Loosiya. KP and UO Asna Sherin (V Sem BSc Mathematics).
