PRCN Course Army (SW-111 & DC SW-82) Completion

Lt. Loosiya. KP, Associate NCC Officer (9K Girls BN NCC, Calicut) and Assistant Professor Adhoc, PG Dept. of Home Science, has successfully completed the prestigious PRCN Course for ANOs (Army SW-111 & DC SW-82) at NCC Officers Training Academy (OTA - NCC College for Women), Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, from October 9th to December 22nd, 2024.
The Primary aim of the course was to equip Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) with the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitude to lead, manage, and train NCC cadets effectively. The course objectives included developing leadership and management skills, enhancing instructional and training skills, fostering teamwork, discipline, and camaraderie, and promoting national integration and awareness. 
The comprehensive training program included a wide range of activities, such as lectures, disaster management demonstrations, self-defense training, outdoor exercises(map reading and FCBC), individual practical tests(Drill, Yoga, CPR, Map reading, firing, etc) and written exams. Additionally, the course provided opportunities to visit the Air Force Station and Infantry Battalion in Gwalior, participate in adventure activities, and attend expert lectures. The National Integration Awareness Programme (NIAP) was also conducted to foster unity and cultural appreciation.
Lt. Loosiya. KP achieved the excellence certificates in Drill, Firing, and also won the first place in inter-company badminton competition (singles). She was also selected for the Commandant's Lecture IP and successfully presented it.
The course culminated in a final marching Passing Out Parade, reviewed by Lt. Gen. Padam Singh Shekhawat, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area.
