The Value Education Club of K.A.H.M. Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized Santasio 2K24, a heartwarming celebration of love, joy, and inclusivity on December 20, 2024, in the college auditorium. The event beautifully reflected the core values of compassion, unity, and service, as it welcomed special school students from Velluvambram to partake in the festivities alongside faculty and students.

 

The program commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. Fathima Yusra P, General Secretary of the Zelinda Students’ Union. Ms. Fidha K, the Chairperson, presided over the function, while the Principal, Dr. Muhammad Basheer Ummathur, officially inaugurated the event. Felicitations were delivered by Jnb. O. Abdul Ali, the Manager of the college, and Dr. V. Hikmathulla, the Fine Arts Director, both of whom emphasized the importance of value-based celebrations in fostering social harmony.

 

A special Christmas message was delivered by Dr. Annie Ninan, Head of the Department of Home Science. She eloquently spoke on the teachings of Jesus Christ—love, joy, forgiveness, and peace—and their significance in today’s world. Her words encouraged students to embrace these values in their daily lives, strengthening their commitment to ethical and moral principles.

 

The highlight of the event was a surprise visit by Santa Claus, who brought an air of excitement and delight. The joyful interaction between Santa and the special school students, culminating in a vibrant dance performance, beautifully embodied the spirit of inclusivity and unconditional love.

 

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Nuha Rasheed, the Fine Arts Secretary, who expressed deep appreciation for all those who contributed to making Santasio 2K24 a memorable and meaningful event.

 

This celebration, organized under the banner of the Value Education Club, successfully instilled in students a profound sense of social responsibility, empathy, and communal harmony, reaffirming the college’s commitment to holistic education.
