Educational trip to Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu.

KAHM Unity Women's College organized an educational trip to Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, on 25th March 2022, under the supervision of Ms. Reena C.M., the trip coordinator. A total of 98 students participated, accompanied by teachers Ms. Aswathi M.P., Ms. Reshma, Ms. Sherin, Mr. Farook, and Mr. Minshad. The journey commenced at 7:30 PM from the college campus.

After a night of travel, the group arrived in Kodaikanal at 5:00 AM on 26th March. Known for its scenic beauty, the “Princess of Hill Stations” provided a refreshing experience to all. The trip was designed to allow students to explore the area's natural beauty and unwind in a serene environment. After breakfast, students and teachers visited popular attractions such as Coaker’s Walk, a scenic pedestrian path offering panoramic views of the surrounding valleys, and Bryant Park, known for its vibrant variety of flora. The group also visited Kodaikanal Lake, where many students enjoyed a leisurely boat ride.

The faculty and students enjoyed spending time together, building camaraderie and mutual respect. This interaction outside the classroom setting fostered a sense of community, contributing to a holistic educational experience. Students actively participated in a group discussion in the evening, led by the accompanying teachers, to reflect on the beauty of the Western Ghats and its significance in literature.

After a memorable day, the return journey commenced in the evening, and the group arrived back at the college at 6:00 AM on 27th March 2022. The trip offered a refreshing break from academic routines and strengthened the bond among students and teachers, making it a cherished experience for all involved.
