Tourism club of KAHM Unity Women’s College conducted one day trip to Wonderla

On 18th February 2023, Tourism Club organised a trip to Wonderla Amusement Park and Marine Drive in Kochi as the chosen destinations. Coordinated by Ms. Reena C.M. of the P.G. Department of English, the trip included the participation of 38 enthusiastic students and was accompanied by Mr. Minhaj Mahmood from the Department of Arabic and Ms. Nayana Suresh from the P.G. Department of English. The journey began from the college at 4:30 AM, with everyone eager for a day of recreation and learning.
The group reached Wonderla Amusement Park at 11:00 AM, where students and faculty enjoyed various thrilling rides and water attractions. Known for its state-of-the-art amusement rides, Wonderla offered students, the opportunity to experience physics in action, sparking discussions on the science behind the rides. The well-maintained facilities and organized environment provided a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
In the afternoon, the group proceeded to Marine Drive, a picturesque promenade by the water in Kochi. This part of the trip was a relaxing contrast to the high-energy atmosphere of the amusement park, allowing students to unwind while enjoying the scenic views of Kochi’s waterfront. The group strolled along the walkway, where the teachers shared insights into Kochi's historical and cultural significance as a prominent port city. The students also had a chance to bond over the scenic beauty, capturing moments together that highlighted the trip's balance of learning and leisure.
The return journey began in the late evening, with students and teachers reflecting on their experiences. The group arrived back at the college at 4:45 AM on 19th February 2023. Overall, the trip was a refreshing blend of fun and education, strengthening friendships and enhancing the students' understanding of both physics and local history in an engaging way.
