Media Club members of KAHM Unity Women’s College (Autonomous), Manjeri participated in the ‘Vartalap’ Media Workshop jointly organized by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, and Manjeri Press Club at Malabar Heritage Resort & Spa, Manjeri, on June 18, 2026. Among the participants were Hana Shihab N.K. and Shifana V.P., second-year B.Sc. Family and Community Science students, who represented the college Media Club. The day-long workshop brought together media professionals, journalists, and media students for insightful sessions on topics including the evolution of communication from traditional postal systems to digital platforms, public welfare initiatives, AI-powered fact-checking techniques, and the functioning of media organizations under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The programme provided the students with valuable exposure to contemporary media practices, government communication strategies, and emerging trends in journalism, enriching their academic and professional understanding of the media landscape.
