'Madhyayam “Velicham” Project Inaugurated'
On 8th August 2024, Engineer O Abdul Ali, manager, Unity Women’s College, inaugurated the Madhyayam Velicham Project at KAHM Unity Women’s College Manjeri. He reminded the students that a culturally healthy society can be formed only by making them reading. Murshida Sumayya, a resident of Pattarkulam, handed over the first copy of Madhyamam daily as part of the Velicham Project to Fathima Thasni, chairperson, Student’s Union. The function was presided over by College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur. Ashraf Payyanad explained about the Madhyayam Velicham Project. Social worker Mr. Hamsa and History Department Assistant Professor Jaseena C. felicitated the programme. Fatima Thasni, third year BA history student who won the reading competition organized by Shihab Thangal Library & Information Center in connection with National Reading Day, was honoured at the ceremony. Media Club Coordinator Shabeermon M welcomed the gathering, and Faizal TK, Assistant Professor of History rendered vote of thanks.
