REPORT ON ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION
The Human Rights and Legal Awareness Club of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized an Essay Writing Competition on 10 December 2025 as part of the observance of Human Rights Day. The topic for the competition was “Cyberbullying and Human Rights: A Growing Threat”, aiming to raise awareness among students about the increasing violations occurring in digital spaces and the importance of safeguarding human rights online.A total of 12 students from various departments actively participated in the event. The participants showcased their perspectives on the psychological, social, and legal implications of cyberbullying, emphasizing the need for stronger digital responsibility and human rights protection.
The competition was conducted in Room B203 at 2:00 PM, under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator Ms. Rahiya Thasneem P P (Assistant Professor, Adhoc), PG Department of Commerce and Student Coordinator Ms. Rasha C (First Year B.Com CA). The event provided a meaningful platform for students to reflect on the relevance of human rights in the digital era.
The programme concluded successfully, encouraging students to become responsible digital citizens and advocates of human rights.
