District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Taluk Legal Services Committee, Eranad (TLSC, Ernad) and Human Rights and Legal Awareness club, KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri jointly organized a legal awareness class in connection with National Consumer Rights Day on 20/12/2023 at 2.00 pm at A/C seminar hall. The aim of conducting a consumer rights awareness session is to empower individuals with information about their rights as consumers. This helps them make informed choices, protect themselves from fraudulent practices, and ensures fair business transactions. Ultimately, it contributes to a more transparent and accountable market place.

Mr. T.T. Abdul Razak, Head and Associate Professor, PG Department of Commerce, delivered the welcome address. Mrs. A.S Anitha Beegum, Principal-in-charge, presided over the program. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Shabir Ibrahim M, Secretary/Sub Judge DLSA, Manjeri. Arun V, Nodal Officer, Mediation Centre, Manjeri was the resource person. He narrated  the students very vividly of  what are the rights of consumers,  how to get their rights to be enforced and how is the grievances to be redressed ,if they do not satisfy with the  products and services  they bought from the market etc.. Ms. Shilpa P.K, Assistant Professor Ad-hoc, delivered vote of thanks.
