Two-day Nature Camp & Brahmagiri Peak Hiking
he Eco & Nature Club organized a two-day nature education camp and Brahmagiri peak trekking event at Thirunelli forest division in Wayanad on January 13th and 14th, 2024. On the inaugural day, participants immersed themselves in the wonders of nature with a visit to the Kalindhi River and an insightful nature class and a documentary by renowned wildlife expert Mr. Muneer Tholpetty, focusing on the majestic elephants that inhabit the region. Day two kicked off with an early morning bird-watching session led by Mr. Nandu, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Thirunelli Forest Division. The pinnacle of the event was the Brahmagiri peak trek, a challenging 12-kilometer journey guided by dedicated forest guards. The trek concluded at the breathtaking peak at 1608 meters above sea level, providing participants with a sense of accomplishment and stunning panoramic views of the border between Kudak and Wayanad.
