SWAP SHOP
PG Department of Chemistry has conducted the second SWAP SHOP programme on 3rd March 2023 at the Department Block. SWAP SHOP programme is a new initiative of the department and the motto behind this is to reduce and reuse, which provide an opportunity for staff and students to exchange their unwanted clothes, stationary items, books.
Swap Shop aims to:
· Provide the opportunity to clear unwanted items and get useful items for each person
· Highlight the importance of reusing unwanted but usable items
· Raise awareness of issues around ethical shopping
The programme was started by inaugural address of Dr.Deepa P, Assistant Professor,PG Department of chemistry. Students donated their unwanted new clothes, accessories, books and other items to swap them for new ones. The entire programme was controlled and managed by the coordinators of the programme, Dr.Jamsheena V, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry and Nasna, IIndsemBsc Chemistry.
