On 25th April 2026, the Biodiversity Club of KAHM Unity Women’s College organized a nature walk as part of the City Nature Challenge Keralam. A total of 68 students, who were participants of the Internship Programme 2026 conducted by the PG & Research Department of Botany, actively took part in the walk and documented the rich biodiversity of the Unity campus through photographs. The walk led by Mr. Unaisudheen T.P., Mr. Muhammed Anas P. and Mr. Arshak Anjum, members of TBARC (Tropical Biodiversity Action and Research Centre), who also introduced participants to the use of the iNaturalist platform for recording and sharing biodiversity observations. Furthermore, a dedicated project titled “EcoWatch @ Unity Campus” developed on iNaturalist, enabling students, faculty and other campus members to upload and collectively document biodiversity records, thereby creating a digital repository of the campus flora and fauna (https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/ecowatch-unity-campus).
