Introduction to RSETI Courses

The Women Cell of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, in collaboration with KSWDC, successfully conducted an awareness session titled "Introduction to RSETI Courses". The event aimed to familiarize students with the various skill development programs offered by Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI), which provide practical training and entrepreneurial support.
Mr. Sadique Ali, the faculty from Canara Bank RSETI, led the session, providing valuable insights into the wide range of courses available under RSETI, their structure, and the benefits they offer to aspiring entrepreneurs. He emphasized the importance of skill-based learning in achieving financial independence and self-sufficiency.
The interactive session encouraged students to explore different vocational training opportunities, leading to a remarkable response from the attendees. As a result of this program, a total of 135 students from the Women Cell have decided to enrol in skill development courses during vacation (April and May):
•    60 students are preparing to join the Bridal Make-up Course
•    40 students have opted for Stitching and Tailoring training
•    35 students are interested in Fashion Designing
The event concluded with a discussion on the application process and support available through RSETI. Faculty Coordinator Ms. Suhada KM and Student Coordinator Ms. Najiya Thasni MP (4th Sem B. Com Co-op) played a key role in organizing the program successfully.
The initiative reflects the Women Cell's commitment to empowering students with entrepreneurial skills and practical knowledge, equipping them for self-employment and financial independence.
