FLASH MOB IN CONNECTION WITH DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
The KSWDC Women Cell of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, in collaboration with the Women Dental Council, IDA Eranad Branch, organized a Flash Mob and Awareness Program on November 27, 2024, in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The event, held at 1:00 PM in front of the Administrative Block, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of eradicating gender-based violence and promoting equality. The program commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Suhada K.M., Women cell convenor, who highlighted the importance of collective efforts in addressing violence against women. Following this, Dr. Shahina Mol A.K., IQAC Coordinator of the college, delivered an inspiring talk emphasizing the critical role of education, awareness, and proactive measures in combating this social issue. The highlight of the event was an energetic and thought-provoking flash mob performed by the KSWDC Women Cell and IDA, Women Dental Council members. The performance drew significant attention from students, staff, and visitors, effectively communicating the theme of resistance against violence and empowerment of women. The program was skilfully anchored by Ms. Hana Fathima, Secretary, Women cell who ensured the smooth progression of the activities. The collaborative effort between the Women Cell and the IDA, Women Dental Council demonstrated a shared commitment to creating a safer and more equitable society for women. The event concluded with a resounding message of solidarity and the importance of active participation in the movement to eliminate violence against women. It served as a reminder of the power of unity in advocating for change.
