DWMS Orientation and Profile Visibility Training

The *Placement Cell of KAHM Unity Women’s College (Autonomous), Manjeri, in association with the **Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC)* and the *Vijnana Keralam programme, organized a **DWMS Orientation and Profile Visibility Training* for final-year students on *29 July 2026 (Wednesday)* at the *College Auditorium. The programme was arranged in response to the communication received from K-DISC regarding institution-level skill development initiatives through the **Digital Workforce Management System (DWMS)* platform. The session was coordinated by *Mr. Shihabul Haq M, Placement Cell, with **Mr. Muhammed Jaseem, Vijnana Keralam, Block Level Coordinator*, serving as the Resource Person.

The primary objective of the programme was to familiarize students with the *Digital Workforce Management System (DWMS)* and its role in enhancing employability and career readiness. The orientation provided students with an understanding of the *registration process, digital profile creation, profile visibility, skill assessment, career guidance, skill-development programmes, and employment-oriented opportunities* available through the platform. Students were also introduced to the importance of maintaining a complete and professionally presented digital profile, which can improve their visibility to potential employers and enable them to access relevant career opportunities.

The training also highlighted the various *employability and domain-specific skill development opportunities* available through DWMS, including *English communication, interview preparation, resume building, certification programmes, internships, job opportunities, recruitment drives, and job fairs. The session was scheduled in two sessions to facilitate the participation of students from different academic streams. The **Science Departments* attended the orientation at *10:40 AM, followed by the **Arts and Commerce Departments at 11:40 AM*. The programme enabled students to gain practical awareness of how a centralized digital platform can support continuous skill development, career planning, and transition from higher education to employment.

The *DWMS Orientation and Profile Visibility Training* was therefore a significant career-development initiative of the Placement Cell, supporting the college’s efforts to strengthen student employability and industry readiness. The programme created awareness among final-year students about the opportunities available through K-DISC’s DWMS platform and encouraged them to actively register, develop their professional profiles, participate in skill-development activities, and explore suitable employment and internship opportunities. The initiative also strengthened the institutional linkage with *K-DISC and Vijnana Keralam* and contributed to the broader objective of equipping students with the skills, digital visibility, and career preparedness required to succeed in the contemporary employment landscape
