Career Jwala – A Career Guidance Session  

The Career Guidance Cell and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, in collaboration with the University Employment Information and Guidance Bureau and the National Employment Service (Kerala), organized a career guidance session titled Career Jwala on 6th December 2024. The event was held at the College Seminar Hall and aimed to provide final-year students with insights into career opportunities and competitive examinations relevant to their fields of study.  

The session was inaugurated by the Principal, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Basheer Ummathur. The Career Guidance Cell Coordinator, Ms. Sangeeta K., welcomed the gathering, and the IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Shahina Mol A.K., presided over the event. Mr. Ammar T, Deputy Chief of the University Career Information and Guidance Bureau delivered the concept note. Felicitations were offered by the Manager, Mr. O. Abdul Ali, the University Career Information and Guidance Bureau Representative, Mr. Muhammed Ashiq V. P, and the College Union Chairperson, Ms. Fidha K. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Nihala Jibi, a volunteer of the Career Guidance Cell.  

Mr. Zakaria M. V, former PRO and Assistant Registrar of University of Calicut and a Career Expert, Broadcaster and Columnist was the Resource Person for the sessions. The program was conducted in two sessions to cater to the needs of specific disciplines. The morning session was designed for students of BA English, BA History, and BSc Psychology, while the afternoon session targeted BCom Cooperation and BCom Computer Applications students.  

The sessions provided students with valuable insights into career paths aligned with their academic disciplines, highlighting opportunities in their respective fields. Additionally, the sessions covered important details about various competitive examinations and recruitment processes.  

The event received an enthusiastic response from the students, who appreciated the clarity and relevance of the information shared. This initiative by the Career Guidance Cell and IQAC proved instrumental in guiding students toward informed career decisions.
