“Nature Camp at Attappadi” by the NSS on October 14-15, 2023
The Nature Camp at Attappadi, organized by the NSS Team of Unity Women’s College, took place on the 14th and 15th of October in 2023. The event was graciously hosted by the Nilambur Nature Study Center and was led by Mr. Jayaprakash Nilambur.
The camp spanned two days, commencing at 1 AM on the first day and concluding at 2 PM on the following day.

– A visit to the scenic Narasi Mukku. – Exploration of tribal communities and their way of life. – Thrilling trekking adventures. – Refreshing swimming sessions in the pristine waters of the Shiruvani River. – An enlightening trip to Nallasinka. – Engaging classes, informative exhibitions, stimulating discussions, cultural programs, and in-depth observations of nature. – A comprehensive study on birds, insects, and plant life in the region.
The camp promoted the idea of equal sharing of food and associated expenses among participants, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared responsibility.
The overarching goal of the camp was to instill ecological consciousness in all participants, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living.
