Observance of Sexual Harassment at Workplace Prevention Week
“On 7th December 2023, at the AC Seminar Hall, KAHM Unity Women’s College, the NSS Unit 171 & 008 actively observed the Sexual Harassment at Workplace Prevention Week, in alignment with the directive from the Ministry of Women & Child Development, India.
The event featured Dr. Jyothi P., an esteemed Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, as the resource person. Coordinated by NSS Program Officers Dr. V. Hikmathulla and Dr. Jasna VC, along with Student Coordinator Amna PK, NSS volunteers engaged in diverse activities focused on preventing sexual harassment at workplaces.
These activities encompassed informative sessions, discussions, and a debate where NSS volunteers passionately emphasized the significance of fostering safe working environments devoid of any form of sexual harassment. Dr. Jyothi P.’s expertise greatly enriched the discussions, enhancing awareness and comprehension among all participants.
The NSS Unit 171 & 008 remains committed to perpetuating a culture of respect and adherence to the provisions outlined in the Sexual Harassment Act. This commitment ensures a secure and safe environment for working women across all sectors, encompassing formal, non-formal, organized, and unorganized sectors.”
