ELAYNE Day 2 ‘Tinkling out loud’ – Psychology booth
On October 17, 2023, the students of the Department of Psychology organized a comprehensive program in observance of Mental Health Awareness Day. The program was held in the college premises, starting at 10:30 AM and continued throughout the day. The program was inaugurated by the college’s principal, Dr. Mohammad Basheer Ummathur.
It featured a Psychology Booth with a combination of food stalls and interactive games designed to test concentration, focus, and span of attention. The booth was not only engaging but also educational, as it offered insights into various psychological aspects.
One of the key attractions of the program was a visually striking representation of various psychological disorders. This was both informative and evocative, effectively conveying the challenges faced by those dealing with mental health issues.
A standout feature of the event was the “Blindfolded Conversations” activity, which garnered a great deal of attention. Anyone attending the program had the opportunity to participate in these conversations. Participants were blindfolded and engaged in conversations without revealing their identities. This activity was well-received and proved to be an insightful and thought-provoking experience for all.
