“Mushrooms in Bloom: Botany Department’s Mushroom Mastery”
On 08/12/2023, The Botany Department at KAHM Unity Women’s College executed a successful mushroom harvesting initiative, showcasing their commitment to sustainable agricultural practices. The cultivation process involved meticulous techniques, resulting in a plentiful harvest. Notably, the first packet of freshly harvested mushrooms was proudly sold to the college principal, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, and the college manager, O. Abdul Ali. This symbolic transaction underscored the collaboration within the college community and emphasized the quality of the produce. The mushroom Harvesting initiative not only served as a practical application of botanical knowledge but also emphasized the importance of sustainable and locally sourced food options.
