NSS Pre -Camp for 2nd Year Volunteers
The National Service Scheme (NSS) units at KAHM Unity Women’s College in Manjeri conducted a 2 day Residential camp for 2nd year volunteers. The event aimed to foster camaraderie and personal development among the volunteers. Here’s a brief overview of the activities:
1.Ice Breaking and Personality Development Session: The evening of the first day kicked off with an engaging ice-breaking session led by Noushad Ali PK. (Assistant professor of Arabic )Volunteers had the opportunity to get to know each other better and enhance their personality development skills. 2. cultural programmes: the camp came alive with a series of vibrant cultural programs. The volunteers were divided into seven groups, each showcasing their unique talents. These programs added a sense of festivity and cultural exchange to the camp, fostering an atmosphere of unity and celebration among the participants
2.Trekking to Unity Hills: In the early morning of 2nd day ,the volunteers embarked on a memorable trek to Unity Hills. This outdoor adventure allowed them to connect with nature and strengthen their teamwork and resilience. 3.Screening of Film ‘Thirike’ Screened the Film “Thirike,” a heartwarming story of a differently-abled child. This film left a deep impact on the volunteers, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and empathy.
During the camp, volunteers actively participated in preparing and serving meals, promoting self-sufficiency and teamwork. This hands-on experience not only strengthened their culinary skills but also instilled a sense of responsibility
The camp successfully achieved its goal of providing a holistic experience for the 2nd year volunteers, blending team building, personal growth, and awareness of social issues
