GREEN AUDIT

A Green Audit was conducted at KAHM Unity Women’s College on 23 March 2026 by Nature Science Foundation, Coimbatore, to assess the institution’s environmental performance, infrastructure, and sustainability practices in accordance with NAAC guidelines.The audit encompassed a comprehensive evaluation of key areas such as green campus initiatives, environmental management systems, energy utilization, waste management practices, soil and water quality, air quality monitoring, and hygiene standards. The process involved detailed verification of documents, records, and on-site inspection of physical facilities.The audit was attended by Principal Prof. Dr. Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, Manager O. Abdul Ali, Green Ambassador Dr. Usman A, NAAC Attribute 10 Convenor Ms. Sangeeta K, audit committee members Dr. Said Hamid Thangal, Dr. Deepa K, Ms. Surya, Ms. Sudheesha, and IQAC Technical Staff Mr. Nithin.The audit team observed that the college has taken significant steps toward maintaining an eco-friendly campus, including effective waste segregation and disposal systems, water conservation measures such as rainwater management, and initiatives to promote environmental awareness among students. The institution also maintains satisfactory standards in safety, accessibility, and hygiene.The audit reflected the college’s commitment to sustainable development and responsible environmental practices, while also highlighting the need for continuous improvement in documentation, monitoring systems, and adoption of advanced green technologies.
