The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of K.A.H.M Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized a Faculty Focus Programme titled “Enhancing Teaching and Research through Institutional Library Resources” on 29 January 2026 at Aryabata Hall, from 3.40 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. The programme was conducted with the objective of familiarizing faculty members with the effective utilization of institutional library resources for strengthening teaching practices and promoting quality research. The session emphasized the role of academic libraries in supporting curriculum delivery, research output, and continuous professional development of teachers. The resource person for the programme was Mr. Yunus T P, Librarian, Shihab Thangal Library and Information Centre. He delivered an insightful and informative presentation on the range of print and digital resources available in the institutional library. The session covered topics such as access to academic databases, e-journals, reference management, research support services, and strategies for integrating library resources into classroom teaching and scholarly work. A total of 38 faculty members from various departments actively participated in the programme. The session was well-received and proved beneficial in creating greater awareness about the academic and research support services offered by the institutional library.
