Merit day “Lumino-Merito-Comz”
The UNICOSA (Unity Commerce Alumnae Association) in association with the Department of Commerce, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized Lumino-Merito-Comz (Merit Day) on 17th February 2020 in the College Auditorium. The primary intention of this programme was to honor the alumnae from the Commerce Department who were awarded Ph.D.s and the students who secured ranks in the University Examinations. The function commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. T T Abdul Rask of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri. Dr. C Saidalavi, the respected Principal of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, delivered the presidential address.
Adv. Ummer, the honorable MLA, inaugurated the function and spoke about the importance of social commitment in a student's life. Dr. C Abdul Majeed, former HOD and Deputy Director, IHRD, University of Calicut, delivered the keynote address, which was a memorable experience. Dr. V P Abdul Nasar, Principal of Ambedkar College of Arts and Science, Vandoor, delivered the special address. The event was facilitated by Er. Abdul Ali, Manager, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri; Mrs. T K Fathima Shajitha, Associate Professor of Commerce; Adv. K Abdurahiman, Lecturer in Law, Department of Commerce; Mrs. Shahina Mol, Staff Secretary, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri; Mrs. Meena, President of the Commerce Alumni Association (UNICOSA); and Shadiya Chukkan, Chairperson of the Student Union.
The esteemed alumnae Dr. Saleena E C (2002 batch), Dr. Anitha Mangad (2002 batch), Dr. Shahanas Beegumm P P (2004 batch), Dr. Ramya Krishnan M (2004 batch), Dr. Sameera P (2004 batch), Ms. Suhaila T K (2018 batch, Second Rank holder), Ms. Nivedida P (2018 batch, Third Rank holder), and Ms. Haritha P (2018 batch, Eighth Rank holder) delivered the reply speeches. Mrs. Haseena Jasmine C K, Programme Co-ordinator, proposed the vote of thanks.
