Consultancy
Dr. Hikmathulla V worked as a part-time Editorial Assistant for Malarvadi, a renowned children's magazine in Malayalam, from 2004 to 2007.
He served as a Language Editor and Reviewer for the publication wing of the Moyinkutty Vaidyar Mappila Kala Academy, Kondotty, under the Department of Culture, Government of Kerala, from 2014 to 2015.
He was the Language Editor and Reviewer of the book Mahammedam, published by the Kerala Sahithya Akademi in 2015 (ISBN: 9788176903301).

3.Dr. Hikmathulla V presented a paper titled "Invisible Regions and People in Kerala Historiography: Mappila Muslim Narratives" at the Three-Day International Seminar "The Cultural Politics of Keralaness: Identity and Representations," held in connection with the 8th Edition of the Poetry Carnival. The seminar took place on 17th, 18th, and 19th January 2025, with his presentation on 18th January 2025.The seminar was organized by the Department of Malayalam at Sree Neelakanta Government Sanskrit College, Pattambi, and sponsored by the Department of Collegiate Education.

1.Dr. V. Hikmathulla V delivered an insightful invited talk on the "Historical Evolution of Malayali Mappila Songs" during the "Songistory" segment at Meem 2024, held at the Indian Academy, Muhaisina, Dubai, UAE, on 3rd November 2024. This segment was part of a significant cultural event dedicated to celebrating Malayali Mappila literature, with a focus on the evolution of song traditions within the Mappila community.Dr. Hikmathulla's presentation delved into the rich history, cultural significance, and transformation of Mappila songs, or Mappilapattu, highlighting key areas such as the origins and historical context, thematic diversity, linguistic and literary elements, musical development, and their influence on modern literature and media. He also addressed the challenges of preserving cultural authenticity amid modern influences. The session featured an engaging Q&A segment, where the audience actively participated, discussing the global appeal of Mappila songs and the complexities of maintaining cultural integrity while embracing contemporary trends.
2.Dr. Hikmathulla V Participated in the Sharjah International Book Fair
Dr. Hikmathulla V, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Malayalam at K.A.H.M. Unity Women's College, Manjeri, participated in the prestigious Sharjah International Book Fair on 6th November 2024. The event, renowned for its global literary prominence, featured a variety of publishers, authors, and literary enthusiasts. Dr. Hikmathulla V addressed the audience during a special session at the Islamic Publishing House, Calicut, India, held at the Writer's Forum.. During the event, he released two new publications from the Islamic Publishing House, highlighting his continued engagement with the literary community and his dedication to promoting literature across diverse platforms.
3.The Insight Summer Fest 2023 is an annual event organized by the Education wing of IIC Abu Dhabi and scheduled to take place from July 07th to July 16 2023 at Abu Dhabi Indian Islamic Centre Premise in Abu Dhabi, UAE for students from KG to Graduate level in Abu Dhabi City. The fest includes diverse range of activities such as interactive workshops, team-building exercises, educational sessions, and recreational outings.
