The Department of History, KAHM Unity Women’s College (Autonomous), Manjeri, observed National Reading Day on 19 June 2026 with a book review programme titled “Reading Beyond Words.” The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teachers. Mr. Shabeermon M., Assistant Professor of History, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of cultivating reading habits among students. The main presentation was delivered by Ms. Fathima Noora K., Final Year B.A. History student, who presented a thoughtful review and shared her reflections on the selected books. Felicitations were offered by Ms. Jaseena C., Assistant Professor of History, and Dr. Saidalavi, Assistant Professor of Political Science, who emphasized the role of reading in intellectual and personal development. Ms. Afeefa Sulathana made insightful comments on the presentation and appreciated the efforts of the presenter. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Shahana Sherin, Association Secretary.
