Indian Army Day – Talk Session

The Department of History, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized a Talk Session in connection with Indian Army Day on 15 January 2026 at Captain Lakshmi Hall from 02:50 PM to 03:40 PM.

The session was delivered by Afeeha Sulthana C K, 4th Semester B.A. History student. In her talk, she highlighted the historical significance of Indian Army Day, the role of the Indian Army in protecting the nation, and the values of courage, discipline, and patriotism upheld by Indian soldiers. The inspiring words of Lieutenant Manoj Kumar Pandey added a patriotic spirit to the programme.

Ms. Jaseena C, Assistant Professor, Department of History, also addressed the students. She explained the value and dignity of service in the Indian Army and created awareness among students about the sacrifices, responsibilities, and commitment involved in army service. Her interaction helped students gain a deeper appreciation of the armed forces and their role in safeguarding the nation.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. Shiji K P, Assistant Professor, Department of History, with Labeeba K (4th Semester B.A. History) as the student coordinator. The session witnessed active participation from History students and successfully instilled a sense of national pride, responsibility, and respect for the Indian Armed Forces among the students.
