  • 07 Oct / 2025

The Department of History organized a mandatory study tour for the fifth-semester B.A. History students (Batch 2023–26) from 7th to 16th October 2025, covering Agra, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, and Delhi as part of their academic enrichment programme. A total of 54 students and 3 faculty members participated in the ten-day educational journey, which aimed to provide firsthand exposure to the historical and cultural heritage of North India. The tour served as a practical extension of their classroom learning, allowing students to explore significant monuments, architectural styles, and cultural practices that have shaped Indian history.
The itinerary began with visits to the Taj Mahal and Red Fort in Agra, followed by the Hawa Mahal and Amber Fort in Jaipur. In Jaisalmer, students explored the majestic Jaisalmer Fort and Patwon Ki Haveli, and enjoyed an unforgettable night stay at the Thar Desert, which included a thrilling desert safari. The trip concluded in Delhi, where students visited important historical landmarks such as the Red Fort, Qutub Complex, Indira Gandhi Museum, India Gate, and Jama Masjid.
