Alumni talk titled "Beyond the Canvas: Turning Passion into a Profession"

The PG and Research Department of English at K.A.H.M. Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized an insightful alumni talk titled "Beyond the Canvas: Turning Passion into a Profession" on February 17, 2026. Held at the Vaikom Muhammad Basheer Hall, the event served as a platform for academic and professional bridging. The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Sidhique, the Alumni Coordinator, who highlighted the department's commitment to fostering strong ties with its former students. This was followed by a presidential address from Dr. Shahina Mol, Head of the Department, who emphasized the importance of creative entrepreneurship in the modern job market.The keynote speaker for the session was Ms. Khadeeja Nida, a distinguished alumna from the 2022–2024 batch. Drawing from her personal journey, Ms. Nida delivered an engaging presentation on the transition from student life to a professional creative career. She shared practical advice on how to navigate the challenges of the industry and stressed the importance of discipline and persistence when transforming a personal passion into a sustainable livelihood. Her relatable experiences provided the audience with a realistic yet encouraging roadmap for their own future endeavors.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students actively engaged with the speaker to discuss the nuances of the creative economy.
