Catalyst Lecture Series 2025–26
The Career Guidance Cell and PG & Research Department of English of KAHM Unity Women’s College organized a session under the Catalyst Lecture Series 2025–26 on 17 February 2026 at 10.30 AM at Vaikom Muhammed Basheer HallThe session titled The Career Catalyst: Master the Transition was handled by Fathima Shifna PV a member of the 2021–2024 UG batch.The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Sangeeta K, Associate Professor of English and Coordinator of the Career Guidance Cell. Dr. Shahina Mol A. K spoke during the inauguration and shared her thoughts on the importance of career planning and skill development.In her talk, Fathima Shifna PV shared her experience as an online tutor at Interval. She explained how she started her own online tuition venture. She described the steps involved in beginning such a venture, including using web portals, creating online profiles, and connecting with students. She also spoke about building trust, maintaining quality teaching, and gradually developing the venture through proper communication and networking.The session was informative and motivating for the students. It gave them practical ideas about starting online tuition and developing career opportunities.The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Fathima Mifa K, the student coordinator.
