Approaches to Research in English Studies

On 13th February, the DQAC and the Research Forum of the PG and Research Department of English organized a session titled ‘Approaches to Research in English Studies’ for the PG students and the research scholars of the department. Dr. Simi K. Salim
(ICSSR & Department of English, AMU Alumnus, IIT Madras), the Resource Person, introduced the diverse research methodologies and the integration of AI tools in academic research. She discussed theoretical frameworks alongside technological advancements, emphasizing the importance of ethical considerations in modern research practices.Dr. Salim also elaborated on the scope of English Studies in the contemporary job market, moving beyond its traditional confines. She highlighted how the discipline extends into areas such as digital humanities, content creation, corporate communications, and global media, offering graduates a wide array of career opportunities
