  • Aryabhata Hall
  • 17 Feb / 2026

In a significant move toward fostering economic independence among young women, the PG Department of Commerce at KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, hosted an extensive seminar on "Financial Wellness" at the Aryabhatta Hall on 17th February 2026 at 01:40 pm. The program was designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and the practicalities of personal finance, providing students with a roadmap for long-term fiscal stability. The session was led by Mr. Anees K A, an expert Financial Educator and Trainer from the NSE Academy. Moving away from a traditional lecture format, the seminar evolved into a highly interactive dialogue where the speaker emphasized that true financial health is rooted in disciplined money utilization. By focusing on the 50/30 rule, he guided students on balancing essential expenses and personal desires as a foundation for achieving early retirement and sustainable wealth creation. The seminar was further enriched by anecdotal evidence and real-world scenarios, which sparked high levels of student engagement and spirited discussion. Participants actively explored the benefits of starting an investment journey early, viewing it as a tool for personal empowerment. The event was coordinated by Shiyana EK ( Assistant Professor (Adhoc) and Shabeeba Mol UT ( Sixth Semester B.Com CA).
