The Department of Commerce, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, in collaboration with the ED Club, successfully organized a National Seminar on Investment Awareness on 17 th February 2026 at Aryabhatta Hall.The seminar, titled “An Introduction to the World of Investment,” aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and awareness about investment opportunities, financial planning, and stock market fundamentals. The session was handled by Mr. Anees K.A., Personal Finance Educator and NSE Academy & BSE FinX Institute Trainer, who delivered an insightful and engaging talk on the basics of investment, different investment avenues, risk and return concepts, and the importance of informed financial decision-making. He also explained practicalaspects of stock market investment and guided students on how to begin their investment journey responsibly.The programme commenced at 10:40 AM and witnessed active involvement of participants. The session was highly interactive, with participants raising queries related to mutual funds, equity investments, and financial literacy.The programme was coordinated by Ms. Sahida K, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, and Fathima Fidha P.T., 6th Semester B.Com Co-operation, Student Co-ordinator.The seminar proved to be a highly informative and motivating session, encouraging participants to develop financial awareness and responsible investment habits at an early stage.
