Commerce Association inauguration 2025-26
The Department of Commerce, KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri formally inaugurated its Commerce Association activities for the academic year 2025-26 on 29th January 2026. The event, held at the CH Auditorium, was marked by an insightful session on career progression and a ceremony honoring academic excellence.
The program began at 2:00 PM with a formal Welcome Speech by Mr. Yaser Yaseen P (Faculty Coordinator & Assistant Professor), who outlined the importance of association activities.This was followed by the Presidential Address delivered by Mrs. Fathima Sajitha TK (Head of Department), who emphasized the department's commitment to holistic student development.
The association was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Umesh U (Associate Professor, Dept. of Commerce, Amal College of Advanced Studies, Nilambur). Following the formal inauguration, Dr. Umesh delivered a highly relevant talk titled "Higher Studies Abroad & in Premier Institutes of India." His session provided students with critical information on navigating admission processes for prestigious institutions and exploring global academic opportunities, bridging the gap between graduation and advanced career paths.
A highlight of the afternoon was the "Honoring Ceremony," where the department recognized outstanding academic performance. Ms. Sahla Munthas (6th Semester B.Com Cooperation) was felicitated for being the Class Topper in the 5th semester, and Ms. Safa Mangalasseti (4th Semester B.Com Cooperation) was honored for securing the top position in the 3rd semester.
The gathering was felicitated by Adv. Abdurahman Karat (Law Lecturer) and Ms. Fathimath Busthana (Vice Chairperson, College Union), both of whom encouraged the students to actively participate in the association's initiatives. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Saniya Puthusseri (Commerce Association Secretary).
