The PG Department of Commerce hosted an insightful talk on "Campus to Corporate: Why Attitude Matters More Than Aptitude" by Thulasi Soubhari, a personal counseling and guidance trainer from Amrita University.The session was held on January 23 rd 2026 at 10.20 AM at Room No A 301.The event aimed to equip students with the right mindset for a successful transition from campus to corporate life.

Thulasi Soubhari emphasized that attitude plays a crucial role in shaping one's professional journey, complementing academic aptitude. Employers prioritize attitude over traditional qualifications, citing research that shows employees with excellent attitudes are more likely to succeed in the long run. This is because attitude influences learnability, ownership, accountability, and collaboration - essential skills for navigating the modern workplace.

The session was interactive, with students gaining valuable insights on how to develop a winning attitude. The event was successfully coordinated by Farseena Jabeen K, Assistant Professor (Ad-hoc), PG Department of Commerce, and Thasleema (VI Sem,B.Com CA).

The talk highlighted that developing a growth mindset, being adaptable, and having a positive attitude can take students a long way in their professional journey. It was a thought-provoking session that will help students navigate their career paths with confidence.
