The Department of Commerce conducted a PTA meeting on 31st October 2025, for the first, third, and fifth semester classes to discuss the academic performance of students in the internal examinations conducted by the college. The meeting commenced at 2:45 p.m. in the CH Auditorium.

Ms. Fathima Shajitha T.K., Associate Professor & Head of the Department, welcomed the gathering and extended her gratitude to all parents for their active participation. She introduced the faculty members to the parents and encouraged them to approach the teachers whenever necessary for academic or personal support of their wards.

In her address, she emphasized the significance of parental involvement in shaping students’ academic success and overall development. She highlighted the need for continuous monitoring and guidance at home, especially during examinations and study leave. She also advised parents to regulate the excessive use of mobile phones and social media by students, as it can negatively affect their academic focus and discipline. Additionally, she brought attention to issues related to student absenteeism and urged parents to ensure regular attendance.

Progress reports were distributed to parents, and signatures were obtained from them to ensure effective communication and acknowledgment of their ward’s performance.

Faculty members also shared valuable feedback on students’ performance, discipline, and classroom behaviour. Parents were encouraged to maintain regular communication with the department and support the college’s initiatives for student development.

The meeting concluded with an interactive session, where parents shared their suggestions and concerns, and the faculty responded positively, ensuring a cooperative effort towards the academic excellence and holistic growth of the students.
