Empowering Commerce Students with Practical Accounting Skills
An orientation programme titled "Empowering Commerce Students with Practical Accounting Skills"was held on June 19, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Aryabhatta Hall, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri. It was organized by IBS Academy, Manjeri in collaboration with the Department of Commerce, IEDC, and the Career Guidance Cell.Dr. Abdul Rof, Head of the Mathematics Department and coordinator of career guidence cell , delivered the welcome address.
The event aimed to provide commerce students with an overview of industry-relevant add-on courses, placement-oriented training, and practical exposure to key accounting tools and systems. The session offered valuable insights into practical accounting, GST, Tally, Income Tax Return (ITR) filing, and more, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations
The programme was coordinated by Ms. Rahiya Thasneem P.P, Assistant Professor (Ad-hoc), Department of Commerce.Faculty members and students from various commerce streams actively participated in the programme and benefited from the informative and engaging discussions.A total of 110 students participated in the programme
